Chattanooga, Tennessee is where I grew up and where I called home for 22 years. It was the perfect place to grow up because I had everything in one spot. There were lakes for great summer nights, mountains to go hiking and exploring, and a big city that felt like a small town. My entire family is from Oklahoma, including my parents, and my dad's job brought them to Tennessee right before I was born. Recently in October, they sold our house to move back here closer to their families. I miss Tennessee everyday and am thankful for the friendships and relationships I made over the years there and can't wait to visit.

Also a fun fact, there are 4 major cities in Tennessee. They are Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. On a Tennessee license at the top, there are pictures of famous buildings or structures that represent each city. For Chattanooga, that is the Tennessee Aquarium which is a very popular tourist site!

Oh, how great to meet someone from Chattanooga, Victoria! I lived in Nashville both when I was in high school and then again for a while after college, and I like Chattanooga so much too! Now I live in North Carolina (we moved here when my husband retired), and it's kind of Tennessee-y, but not the same. Yay Tennessee! But I have not been to the Aquarium, I am embarrassed to say... and I love aquariums! That is a fun storytelling setting too: a supernatural aquarium with supernatural water-creatures! India has LOTS of those... the goddess Ganga rides on a makara for example! :-) Makara at Wikipedia
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! That's so cool, I love Nashville! Whenever you're back in Tennessee you should definitely check out the aquarium, I'm sure you would love it!
